River Rejuvenation

Problem: All 4 main rivers of Mumbai namely Dahisar river, Oshiwara River, Poisar river & Mithi river have shrunk & become nallas causing depletion of ground water, fresh water source & a carrier of untreated water & plastic waste to sea.

Solution: Rejuvenate them, put filter screens to stop plastic going to sea.

Objective: MGS is associated with River March for this public movement where we aim to rejuvenate the four rivers. We have taken concrete steps that need to be taken to rejuvenate the river.

Advantage:

Fresh source of water, more stock of ground water & depletion in pollution/health hazards.
